FRENCH ARTICLE 4

INTERVIEW WITH FRENCH CLUB MEMBER

Students who were initially interested in taking French can also learn more about the subject with their school's local French club. If taking classes were not enough and students would like to learn more, we have decided to provide an interview with most questions being centred around what goes on in the French Club.

The first question asked was "Is the club for beginners?" which was asked to understand what type of people they were willing to accept. They responded that they accept people of all levels- especially beginners, what was really important was that everyone could work together and learn better with each other.

Then, "What is the purpose of the French Club?"  They answered that the club is to not only provide students extra help and lessons on the language with the use of teamwork, but also to promote that of the diverse francophone culture that offers a lot to explore and learn.

Adding on to the subject of helping students, "How can the French Club improve the students' French ability?" such as the different strategies and learning techniques used.  We learned that they hold discussions, presentations, and games whenever the chance to. The particular order is not specified, however the club is relatively active, suggesting that the activities are done more than once a week.

On top of that, for more elaboration, "What are some activities that the French Club have?"  They responded that the activities included Jeopardy and Kahoot. They also host movie nights with French dubs and or subtitles so everyone can discuss with each other any issues concerning understanding, or anything they would like to point out that perhaps others could not pick up on as well.

For extra information to be provided about the Modern Language Gallery, please refer to the information written below.

The Modern Language Gallery is where different French classes are able to share their work and projects to- and moreover, to help students understand how a French classroom works in RC Palmer.

This concludes the interview, we hope it was able to help anyone interested.
